Make Gratitude A Habit
It's been raining today...soft, gentle, constant
for the last two hours
Not like the Northeast from which I hail
(no pun intended)
We here in California rejoice when it rains.
In this moment, watching the birds delight,
I find it is easy to enlist Gratitude.
I make it a practice....a thank you,
for the simpleness of breathing,
for the rain falling, nourishing the dried plants
for life, for love, for wonderment.
Our brain chemistry and hence, our cells, respond to our thoughts;
We have dominion over this
We are responsible for our thoughts and thus, our actions
We effect a positive change in our chemistry with our thoughts...so try Gratitude!
Try Gratitude
when you wake up
when you look out the window
when driving in your car,
as you breathe in, then out,
when you notice a moment of aliveness, of being awake,
when you are going to sleep.
Keep a Gratitude journal
and record 5 minutes a day
all the simple ways you give thanks.
Watch what happens as positive, synchronous events
begin to show up in your life.
It's easy, and effective.
Enjoy the downpour life will begin to shower upon you.
